       Oak aphid is a pest of exotic oaks, Quercus spp. in Victoria and Tasmania, Australia.  The parasitoid Aphelinus flavus (Nees) was imported from England and released in 1939.  The parasitoid began to be recovered shortly after, and as parasitism increased in Tasmania, Wilson (1960) reported that the health of oak trees gradually improved (also see Dahlsten & Hall 1999).
